Woke up at 5, and got up at 5:30, was walking by 6:45. Then straightened kitchen up, put away some things, cleaned bathroom, ironed another curtain panel before a shower. Jeff picked me up for the Cherokee Garden Club Library event about John and William Bartram, early US plantsmen, John from about 1730, and William later. They were in PHL and both travelled south to document plants, and Wm. Came again later. They also did botanical drawings - very interesting display, and we didn't see all of it, because Staci Catron took us through and had a ton of interesting info.
She then pointed us to the native plant garden and Smith farm. We walked through both, then decided to check out the Swan Coach House for lunch. I remember having lunch there in the 70s, and didn't know it was still operating. Reasonable choices!
Jeff came back to help me here - got 3 plants planted, a branch trimmed, soil moved to raised bed, and curtains up. He started on laptop, copying my desktop hard drive to Anne's external hard drive. It was going very slowly then quit with an error, so Jeff will have to start again next time he comes, back w his external drive, and a copy of Microsoft Office for me...
