I haven't been reporting my daily weights...cuz I took a BIG bobble a few days ago and wanted to hide it from the world. Vanity, vanity...all is vanity😔

I wanted to wait until I had another drop to report, but then my graph won't be accurate & true. There ARE days when, for absolutely no apparent reason, that we will ALL have bobble days! So, I want to be up front with you (my peers) and with myself. When I figured it out this morning, I had actually lost 0.8 pounds for the week (even with that huge speed bump). So pffftttt!
133.4 lb Lost so far: 61.6 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed 100%.

It’s your weight chart. Do what you want. I do 😊

This is why weighing everyday and using an average over 7-10 day period gives a person a better undetstanding of how they are progressing or regressing

I like your explanation that you wanted to wait until you had another drop to report. That's what I did last year July through December. I kept thinking I won't record this new gain so I just mostly stayed away. But I just kept going up: about 4 sizes to a new lifetime high for me even though I have lost 3 1/4 inches in height. I am finally back on the straight and narrow and have almost lost half of it.

That is correct - SK.17 --- We need APNG to come here and comment again ... "It is impossible for your body to make any kind of tissue or fat over night" ---- I say - and keep stating the same thing ---- DO Weigh yourself before you eat food and drink then weigh yourself after your food and drink --- and give your body the time required to begin to process what you have taken in --- Any sudden increase is the weight of undigested foods sitting in your intestines and stomach --- That is the food - In a Process of Digestion. If you continue to eat - or eat heavy and large amounts - without allowing the time required for digestion --- sooner or later - you will form tissue.

Once I see that lower weight on the scale - then I know for a fact that loss is in there .... and I am after it ... it is just a matter of getting past the food intake - and I do believe in eating food when you are hungry - and I do not believe in gut filling - and my appetite suppression is complete (I get filled on half a small plate of food) ---- but that lower weight once it appears on the scale - is in there - it is just a matter of consistency - and perseverance - and hour by hour sometimes to get there --- that little bump in the road - is just undigested food ---- So what did you eat CrystalJo ??? Was it Good ???

Generally I agree that daily changes are probably not just fat gain or fat loss. But those who do huge cheat meals/cheat days often claim it's not possible to gain fat from one meal or one day. It is. It is possible to gain a significant amount of fat by eating twice or thrice your normal calories. And in fact, most people don't gain weight by going just a little over their calories every day. The metabolism isn't static and will adapt pretty readily to a surplus or deficit of up to 200 calories or so. They gain weight rapidly at certain times of the year like Thanksgiving and Christmas from several days of significant overeating and then never take it off because they don't make adjustments and mistakenly think it's just "water" or shit. Water doesn't hang around for weeks tho ;)

Oats_the_whey...thank you for your sharing this info. I haven't gone over my RDI in weeks, and have NEVER eaten 2000 extra calories since starting here at FS. I'm gonna go with digestive 'retention' and a bad night's sleep 🤣😳

You’re welcome CJo !! I also use a free app called HappyScale with makes graphs, etc … so you can visualize your progress. It links in with the standard Health app on your phone. I find the graphing on FS inadequate.

CrystalJo74, in that case, yes you are completely right. I just see some cheat day fans justifying eating 4000 calories in a day saying "you can't gain fat in a day". you can.

That is one thing that I have been saying .... some foods are denser and harder to digest and take longer to digest. If you eat another meal before the denser foods are digested .... you can stay within your RDI and exercise does not cause weight loss - exercise tones the flesh .... you can so stay within your RDI and eat regular meals and drink all of your liquids and still have a gain on the scale. That is too bad CrystalJo --- that you did not get any extra - for the temporary weight gain - What a rip! And Yes - sleep is imperative - not enough is stated about the requirement of sleep during a steady weight loss. Sleep is imperative.

That is false information Oats the whey ... the body cannot make tissue of any kind - muscle or fats - in only one day and it takes 3 days for the body to process foods.
