I don't know why gaining is so easy. I don't eat excessively, I hate chips, pop, sweets. I stick to 4-5 small portions each day. My downfalls are coffee with sugar and an accasional chocolate bar. GGRRR!!!!!
199.0 lb Lost so far: 1.0 lb.    Still to go: 54.0 lb.    Diet followed poorly.
gaining 0.5 lb a week

How frustrating for you! if you really arent doing anything much to be causing you to find weight loss so hard, maybe a medical check up is in order as it could be a medical issue eg hypothyriodism. i suggest for you to find out what the right amount of calories is for your size and weight and lifestyle.. monitor them for a week to see if you are going over the calories for weight loss for you. http://www.shapefit.com/ is a good site to work out that and will tell you what amount to aim for for weight loss. No diet will work well if you are going over the right calorie amount for weight loss ... going well under it will also stop weight loss as body goes into starvation mode. If you find yourself unable to follow a diet, obviously it is wrong for you as temporary dieting dont work anyway as one then usually gains weight back once diet is over and one goes back to old eatting patterns. best luck Permanent weight loss is best as a lifestyle change..so something you can regularly easily use, hence a diet you struggle to stick to isnt a good one.
