Eat what you like, just don't eat too much. I am going back to an Atkins-type of diet because even at reduced-intake and calorie levels, I am struggling with extended plateaus.

What??? Oh, am I exercising regularly??? So, glad you asked...NO!!! I should, but I just haven't...something to shoot for on the next weigh-in.
254.4 lb Lost so far: 3.5 lb.    Still to go: 36.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

You can have extended plateaus even on Atkins. When you say extended plateau, are you talking about weeks without the scale moving or just a few days in a row. A few days in a row to a week is pretty normal, but if you are talking about weeks, then it's good to change things up. Switching things up can help and yes ....exercise...really helps too, lol! Exercise is one of the best ways to get the scale moving again. It will help you get in to smaller sizes more quickly, build muscle which makes you leaner and ups your metabolism so you lose faster, keeps your heart and body functioning properly, firms you up as you lose, and helps you look good naked, lol. There's a saying " You want to look good with your clothes on lose weight. If you want to look good without clothes, exercise!" No matter what good luck!

Thank you, Suzi. I really enjoyed your feedback. Fortunately, I am "naturally athletic", so right now I am sporting what I call the "Al Bundy Physique". What you say makes great sense. And since I only own FAT CLOTHES, I should focus more on how I look under the clothes. You have me totally motivated...I am going to get up out this chair right now - ...and get myself a glass of wine. YES - I am staying within my diet!
