Sa.1354, 202.6 Gwennie to ballet at 10:30 the pick up Berri and Patrick and go to Piedmont's kid's day. It is going to be raining so we will be in the rec center. Maybe a movie tonight, I think I want dinner and lunch at home where I have great control of it.

Bridge yesterday went well as far as food, we won by less than 100 pts, but I ate a few grapes and that was all.

They caught Jamie Hood last night at 11 as he surrendered on TV, all the network channels carrying it, to be sure the police didn't just kill him as they did his brother. That was a smart move. I can't believe the local police, GBI, and FBI all have Facebook pages and were communicating through that with him and his family. Amazing the times we live in. He used the media to guarantee we all were watching his surrender so nothing underhanded could go on. I am so glad he is not still on the streets, he had nothing to lose to avoid capture, so I am sure he would do anything to not be taken down including putting hostages in harms way. I had to drive to Mary Ann's house about 5 and going down Lexington on our two lane side during heavy traffic we had to part to leave enough space several times for police to go through the middle. He was in that area in a house with about 8 other people he was keeping hostage, including 2 children. Supposedly they were friends, but you know they were terrified when the negotiations bogged down. He did let the kids and 2 other out earlier, so the police said since he acted in good faith, they would agree to TV coverage. A good conclusion to a very bad situation.
