I'm abit disapointed at my weight loss this week, only half a pound is bad considering i've been to the gym 5 times this week and stayed under 1500 calories most days. I did have a meal out and some popcorn at the cinema on Friday but i thought i'd counted the calories for that. I've got to really push myself this week so i can keep up with the challenge of losing 13lbs by April 1st Ive got to try and lose 3.5lb again like last week so i'm back on track! On the postive side a trainer at my gym noticed how much i'd cycled on a machine and asked how long it had taken me, i'd done 25 minutes to which he said i'd done really well but i had no idea what distance i'd cycled and i was super happy with myself when he said it was 9 miles! It's spurred me on so i'm now going to make it a goal to complete a marathon on the bike biggest loser style xx

We don't always see the results of this week till next week or more. Increased workouts can mean muscle edema which has your muscles retaining water to help them heal. It can temporarily show on the scale as no loss, a gain or small loss. You may drop 3 pounds next week. Consistency is key. Your doing great.

Gonna be honest with ya, 3+ lbs a week loss is unrealistic to expect unless you're well over 300 lbs. Not to say it can't happen from time to time, but if you set that as your goal you'll be disappointed most of the time. Weight loss is more mental than physical in my opinion. Say you have your expectation of 3 lbs lost per week, & you lose 1.5 lbs 3 weeks in a row. Now say you have your expectation at 1 lb lost per week, & you lose 1.5 lbs 3 weeks in a row. Do you see what I'm getting at? If BL inspires you to exercise & work hard, that is excellent. But if the progress of the contestants is what you are measuring your own against, you're setting yourself up. That's all I'm saying. So try to keep a positive attitude & celebrate your progress, no matter how big or small you think it is!
