I really don't know what's going on but every time I do P90X my weight goes up or I maintain. Never losing on this . . . thought this time would be different because I'm stronger and have better cardio however it doesn't seem to be the case. I'm on week two three days in with arms. Not really sure if this is for me, this is very discouraging. Wish I knew what I'm doing wrong or why this always happens.
147.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 12.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 4.7 lb a week

Do you see/feel yourself getting leaner or more tone? Sometimes the scale isn't the best reflection of our progress. You might also want to try decreasing some of your carbs, Phase I has us on the low carb high protein diet. Maybe that would help? Stick with the exercise plan if anything, you will see results soon!

I do feel like I'm stronger, but not really leaner at this point. Thats my problem though I feel like I have a lot of muscle but it is trapped under the fat I can't lose. I really try not to eat a lot of carbs . . . but maybe I will try to focus on it a little more. I'm going to try to stick with it for the next couple weeks and see what happens. Just frustrated! Need to try harder this week!!! Thanks for the input I will keep it in mind.

Have you stuck with the program for the full 90 days? One thing you must understand is that mucle weighs more than fat. When you first begin a workout like P90X you will experience an increase in weight. This is why I recommend weighing yourself at the beginnig of phase 1 and not agian until you have completed the first 30 days. You normally see an increse in weight because you are building new muscle. And this new muschle will begin to burn fat. To effectively burn fat, you need this muscle. Muscle burns fat more than anythin else. If you really want to track your progress durning the first 30 days, try on a pair of pants that were too small when you started the program and see if you are able to get into them or if you are getting closer to getting into them. Durning this phase, for me, doing the "clothes" test is always better than looking at the scale. The scale is overrated. Ask yourself this question, are your true goals associated with how much you really weigh, or how well your body looks and feel?
