MTurner123's Journal, 27 February 2014

Well, I guess I can't stay the same weight forever. My baby grew a ton this week (I'm on week 35) so I wish I could blame this all on him, but truthfully it's probably because of all the junk food I ate earlier this week, which I got sick from. I have just been too cowardly to step on the scale for a couple days. Hopefully I'll be able to burn off the gathering cottage cheese on my hips before I see my doctor this Friday. Wishful thinking.

If you are pregnant you must not think of loosing weight, and don't eat cottage cheese. In my pregnency I gained 75 lb! I started watching my diet when my baby was 3 months old and from then till today in 7 months I have lost 45 lb! I believe you will be able to shed your baby weight very soon too. Good luck....and enjoy motherhood!

Haha! When I was talking about cottage cheese I was talking about the cellulite collecting on my hips, but I have been using this site to count carbs since there's a possibility I am at a high risk gestational diabetes, so I have to watch what I eat, it is my first pregnancy so its just hard for me to accept that gaining weight is a good thing, but I know I take it too far.

Don't worry too much about how much you gain, but rather on what that weight gain is from. If you gain weight due to junk food and nonsense that your body doesn't need, then you're setting yourself up for a much more difficult time after having your baby. I had gained eighty five pounds when I was pregnant and lost it all withing six or so months. So, make sure that weight gain is based on healthy foods, you know: avocados, nuts, high protein etc. Make sure baby gets what it needs for a good development.
