Very good week. Stuck with the portions and got all my workouts in. So close and yet so far. Co-worker told me that I need to buy new clothes. Said that the clothes I have on are falling off me LOL. One thing for certain, I like the way I feel now and I am certain that I do not want to go back to the way things were. I guess there really IS something to this portion control thing. I just have to resolve and commit. BTW, still wondering what it would be like to have that elliptical. Think I am gonna take the plunge and buy one.
266.6 lb Lost so far: 61.4 lb.    Still to go: 6.6 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Dude, you're almost there!. Is 265 where you want to maintain? I'm there with you now but I'm 6'2" and want to get to 244 and then maybe lower. Do you mind me asking how tall you are?

I found a used eliptical on FB marketplace. It was a really nice Golds Gym brand and I got it for $50! Now if I would just get my butt to the basement and use it 🙄

I am 5'10. I have always had a large solid frame. Always hard for peoole to guess my weight. I started to feel the negative affect of being so heavy though. 265 lbs is just a milestone. The idea is to stick with the portion control and just let it happen. My body will tell me when the portions are just right to sustain a certain weight. When i reach that point that will be it. Whether it be 5, 10 or no more lbs I will be good will that. I am having fun with this suffering 😂. NO PRESSURE! That's the key.

How did you settle on portion control. you are right; and I know it is what I want. Did you find an app?

Settling on portions is easy and simple. I simply use the recommended serving in the nutritional label of what i am eating. NOW- sticking to the portion- that's the hard part. Which is probably why I have to stay focused and not take this too serious. BESIDES, WHO EATS ONLY 3 OREOS??? 😅😂🤣. I keep reminding myself that it's a marathon and not a sprint. Sometimes I am going to be on point and other times I am going to eat like there's no tomorrow. The trick is not to wallow in it. Just know what's happening and make adjustments. That is what works for me.

The only app I use is FS. The food database here is phenomenal. Not to mention you can add foods to it. I do that a lot. This thing is simple but hard----eat less and exercise (or increase your activities)
