WOW! Getting on the scales this morning was such a shock! We went out to dinner last night with my mother-in-law at South Beverly Grill and I picked my way carefully through the menu! Being allergic to pork makes it difficult when eating keto/low carb in restaurants because most of what would fit the diet has bacon on it!!! But last night I ate mostly appetizers and salads. WIth careful choices I had something warm and something filling (it was cold - for Los Angeles - and rainy out).

My meal choices were:
GRILLED ARTICHOKES - (3 halves) which I ate all by myself
DEVILED EGGS
‘SBG’with Grandma Ding’s relish, minced celery & fine herbs -
which were 4 halves or 2 whole eggs
SHRIMP LOUIE
jumbo gulf shrimp, avocado, tomato, iceberg boat & louie dressing

Then I came home and had 4 pieces of fat bomb chocolate!!!

And this morning, despite all my worrying about the dressings, etc., I was down TWO POUNDS!!!! YEAH!!!

259.0 lb Lost so far: 3.0 lb.    Still to go: 119.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Thanks Suzi! Yes, you can eat out and still lose. I often have to eat out because of family or business obligations. You just have to READ the menu carefully! Actually, I find chain restaurants the best places to eat out (vs stand alone restaurants) because most of them have their nutritional information online. I can pick and chose knowledgeably before arriving.
