About 2 weeks ago-maybe more-I made a conscience decision to not eat cheese or processed grains and eat more vegetables and foods that I prepared.

That had been a monumental step in my weight loss. I was at my highest weight that day-and had been for a few weeks-243. I have since lost 14 lbs without doing much of anything other than following my plan and eating less food. I haven't had crazy cravings and I'm full when I eat. I still have the urge to 'munch' on crunchy carbs as an after lunch snack, but have only given in a couple times.

I did get carry out pizza and breadsticks last week which lasted me for 3 meals. I could tell when I ate it too. My stomach would turn and make disagreeable noises teaching me a lesson I will not soon forget. Making it through the first 2 weeks has taken considerable attention on my part. I think about everything I eat-most of it being organic. I pass all my old 'favorites' at the grocery because I know what it will do to me and how I will feel.

I am feeling much better about myself and convinced this is the right path for me. I have had considerable stress and this does not seem to be affecting me-maybe I'm just used to the stress. My sleeping patterns have been 'off'. I can't seem to fall asleep till after midnight, sometimes later. I suspect my recent obsession with the Sookie Stackhouse series and True Blood tv show. I can't get enough!! Another culprit may be my 'happy pill' I take in the evening, before I go to bed. I should start taking it earlier, like 6 or 7, since it is a 'stimulant'. I hadn't thought of that till my endocrinologist pointed that out.

Anyway....I'm not tracking my foods or calories. Too much work for me. I am fully aware of what I put in my and have it all in my head so to speak. For now, this is working.
