This week, I had the biggest epiphany around weight loss - I was left gobsmacked and absolutely crystal clear about my weight lost journey. More in a few lines.
But First off all I hit my first 10kgs lost. I cant believe it. I think its been 16 weeks - about .65 a week. But rather than celebrate that - I am 1.6 away from getting under 110. Now THAT will light me up. So I am on a mission to lose the next 1.6 - can I do it in 2 weeks - maybe - gunna give it a red hot go anyway.
Now - the life changing moment. I saw someone with a weight vest - short version - I bought a 30kg weight vest with weights of Dick Smith website here in Australia. As I lose a kilo - I'll add it to the vest when out walking. I unpacked it an picked up it fully loaded. I cannot tell you how stunned I was. I cannot believe anyone in their right mind would voluntarily carry that around all day every day - yet that is exactly what I have been doing for nearly 40 years. When I go to the gym I lift weight - but there is a "distance" if that makes sense. In the jacket - I wear it on me - like it is a part of me and who I am. And get this, I'm out to lose 36kgs all up - more that the whole bloody vest weighs. No wonder I get tired, lack energy, cant be bothered doing stuff. Everyone has their own story, their own journey, their own mental and health issues to deal with, but I have been blessed with good health, even though over weight and in my 50's.
So, I'm done with carry 30kgs plus around for the rest of my life. There will be actions to take to get there but more than that - this must never happen again.
