I stepped on the scales this morning with much trepidation after my week away and not having tracked at all over all the festivities to this point (I was sure something would catch up with me) and was delighted! Thank you Cypriot salads!! I promised myself before Christmas that I would begin to incorporate exercise into my life and last night made a deal with my mind to begin today if I showed a loss on the scale so I did some core strengthening and started the couch to 5K on my cross trainer from the beginning (I started it during our heat wave and didn't last). My goal is to follow that to the end and then hopefully start it again on the road when the weather permits. At the rate the rain keeps falling here at the mo, I'll be swimming it!!
208.0 lb Lost so far: 38.0 lb.    Still to go: 54.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Whoop whoop...salads are the bomb! Congrats on the core strengthening and couch to 5k on cross trainer. You are well and truly on your way to forming good habits and a healthier lifestyle!

I'm going to start the couch to 5k program as well, and have even signed up for a run to keep myself honest. Good luck! :)

Thanks for the great comments. I'm very jealous that you get to run on the beach LowCarbFemmeFit!!! That would be great but my nearest sandy beach is a 60 mile round trip away and the others are stony - my son used to run them as a teen when summer training with his rugby club. Very hard work and I'm not fit enough for that, let alone young enough!! Good luck Jstaparrothead. I haven't signed up to do a run yet, but my daughter and I plan to do one together - hopefully not too far in the future. Let me know how you get on.
