We got hit with a sudden downpour of sleet and slush yesterday around noon. We had gone out to eat lunch when it was dry and by the time we walked out to our car, the sidewalks were slippery. It's still slushy and a bit rainy out there now. Lunch was great -- at a nice Italian restaurant in our neighborhood. Had the duck prosciutto salad and brought the rest home for supper. After all that grocery shopping, we still ended up eating out. It's too nasty to go out today, so time to get in the kitchen.

Man, why is everyone always talking about food around here! I love Italian. Some dishes are great calorie wise... others are not! You have to know what to pick and choose. So you got a little taste of my winter lol! Yeah... it's a tuffy... but looking for things to break in a month or so!

Never tried duck prosciutto.. Would love to sometime. It also is nice to stay in kitchen and cook something simple out of fresh ingredts. Stay warm and happy Friday, Coco!:)

Matt, my hubby got the fetuccini alfredo. Talk about a calorie bomb! He brought home leftovers too, but after refrigeration, it solidified into a block of fat. Not sure if it was cheese or what! Made him sick.
Lily, the duck prosciutto was a darker meat than ham prosciutto and tasted a little gamier. I liked it, but not as much as the ham.

Oh Coco... your better off staying away from alfredo... just high calories there. Better off with a tastey marinara!
