Hi Meta - I'm neither trying to lose nor gain. There's this novel crazy idea that's gaining momentum in the new millenia called "weight maintenance". Basically, crazy outlandish people like myself who are sick of yo-yo dieting take off the excess fat and actually try to maintain within a weight range that feels healthy and sustainable for their lifestyle. I know...it's crazy!!! But, here I be doing the deed and giving yo-yo dieting the proverbial finger. The weight range set for me at this point is 112-114 lbs. If I go *below* that range, I increase daily caloric intake by 2%. And, wouldn't ya know, they also discovered in the new millenia that fluctuating daily and weekly by 3-5 lbs due to waste and water is absolutely normal. Well, I'll be!!! So, it looks like so far I'm not only within my weight range, but fluctuating all the way from 114-112 lbs within the week is completely normal...can you believe it?! Wait another week, and ya just might see this miracle happen again ;-) Hope this clears up the confusion :-)

Maybe you should change your goal on your account. It says your goal is 150 😂

Well, now Lambi - I reckon I could. But, then I wouldn't have that amazingly beautiful reminder that I not only met the first weight loss goal, but exceeded it beyond my wildest expectations. Aaaand, I wouldn't have the wonderful pleasure of telling everyone else that as well. So, for the time being, the current goal weight stays put. But, I'll letcha know when I change my mind ;-)

I would love to experience "maintenance!" Never been there. Yo-yoing, that I know very well, for over 50 years. I've been dieting since I was 10 years old. I'm more like a buoy in the water, whenever I've gotten near goal weight my body fights so hard to bob back up to a former "set point," and if I don't resist it goes higher. BTDT so many times. But, I was told, though I don't know from experience, that if you can maintain your weight for a year your body will adjust to a new set point right there and will stop fighting to gain weight all the time making maintenance a lot easier then. I would so love to experience that.
