I think I'm finally hitting my stride again. I made it through the weekend without any major "cheating", and staying mostly within my calorie goal. I have noticed my clothes fitting better/looser and that has been a rewarding incentive. I have also re-found my love-hate relationship with my scale and have become obsessed with weighing myself twice a day and recording my weight daily to see the fluctuations and trends. For me to be successful at this I need to be obsessive. I need to track progress daily. I also like to compare back to my 2011 diet. So far the trendline seems parallel to my weight loss at that time (only my starting weight is about 30 pounds less for 2021). This helps me "forecast" what my weight loss could look like in the coming months because I was so good at journaling in my spreadsheet in 2011. I can also see that in 2011 I started getting more aggressive with my exercise around March. I really need to step things up with my exercise this year, but it's definitely going to be harder to find time with 2 toddlers. Just journaling this for my future reference!
