Egull1's Journal, 21 February 2021

I'm honestly amazed I even had a drop today, given how sore and swole these muscles are. Not to mention there really wasn't all that much in the way of waste elimination.

I feel certain my actual average is around 111 range right now, but the lactic acid build up is real and with it the water retention.

I have not been this sore in a long time. Practicing "time under tension" as Chris refers to it ain't no joke!

And, rest assured all the stops are being pulled out for recovery. Not just warm ups, cool downs, CBD gummies, and slathering on the CBD lotion, or using the handy muscle gun. But, also the kind of stretching and movements that help flush out lactic acid so the muscles can continue performing.

My sleep has been off the charts deep. It feels like I haven't slept this deep in years, but it feels good. And, this morning is probably the first in about 3 days where these arms feel minimally sore, but no longer tender to the touch and are able move without me wincing!

The legs are doing great! They're kickin' butt and taking names. But, then again I'm numb from the waist down so I don't actually feel soreness to an extreme degree in that region - haha

One might wonder why I'm inviting this masochism! LOL

But, here's the thing. As I've been diligently using this method when I lift or do any kind of strength training exercises - my nerve pain has decreased by 95%. My rotator cuffs aren't even copping one snap, crackle pop! And, the lower back region where I have a couple "very mild" lumpy disks has felt better than it has in years.

Because...the muscles are all very fully engaged. And, these joints and nerves don't have as much tension to deal with.

It's trading one pain for another one might say - but, I prefer these muscles take the brunt as they have many more years of longevity ahead and can repair in a lot less time with some rather beneficial results.

I'm thankful too D for posting about the thermic effect regarding macros as well. I felt like it was a sign from the universe to continue my 140/day average grams of protein. Part of me always felt like I got in too much for this weight range, and needed to work a little get in carbs. But, honestly I'm just naturally drawn to protein laden foods. It's sincerely a matter of taste and I try to make up for less carb intake on surplus days.

Although, ironically even with the surplus day I end up under goal for carbs according to My Fitness Pal. So, there ya go! LOL

Speaking of surplus days! As promised here is a list of the yummy goodies Mom and I will be ordering:

1. Thai Dumplings
2. Curry Puffs
3. Pineapple Curry w/Chicken
4. Hot Thai Basil w/Beef
5. Spicy & sour soup w/tofu

I'm pretty sure these all come with white rice...and of course there will be helpings of my mother's homemade King Arthur yellow cake with chocolate ganache!

I wasn't able to muster a "flex friday" pic. In fact, these arms and shoulders were so sore, they could not in the be least bothered to smile and say "cheese" for the cam.

But, perhaps a very fatigued girl with a hearty and blissful look of accomplishment post workout will suffice :-)

Have a beautiful and blessed Sunday, everyone! And, don't forget to remember you *are* already the light you want to be in this world...this journey is just helping you expand it :-)
