Katsolo's Journal, 26 November 2020

Happy Thanksgiving! Off to mom's to cook and eat. Taking the monsters with me for amusement since I don't want to leave them for too long. Hope you all have a wonderful day and make the best of this crazy year that's almost over.

Yesterday's swim was great. I decided to pick up the paste on my last set since I was in a groove and it was good. 850 strokes, overall average heart rate was in the mid 140's, but the last set was 8 minutes in peak, average heart rate in the mid 160s and I wasn't gasping for breath. I was a little winded at the very end, but that was kinda the point. No fins, no paddles for the last part. I think I left the current notched up from last week, but no way to tell other than how it throws my body against the back of the pool.

I don't know if I'm taking the entire day off from exercise or not at this point, but it will be nice to get out of my house for an extended amount of time. Tried to stream the parade this morning, wasn't into it, played an old one in the background for ambiance. Will cook a turkey here before the end of the weekend, most likely.

Lights get turned on tomorrow, I've dragged what I want out of the basement. In the meantime, nature put up this one big light last night. It didn't fill the sky, but it was a nice glowing orb while it lasted. That's the tops of buildings downtown. Camera doesn't do the real thing justice.
