PIzza penance required for the next few days, but it was worth it. Swam a good one yesterday. 859 strokes, mix of large paddles and small for the last set. 10.5METs, average heart rate mid 130s and I could easily have worked harder. Will notch effort up via the current today.

I have been hanging upside down again and doing okay. I'm keeping it tethered at 90 degrees because honestly I'm scared to do free hanging right now. Back is too unpredictable. I can hang and stretch from each side. Can't do the sit ups I was working on. Just not possible right now. We'll get back there, but very carefully. What I am working on is the exact opposite of what I'd like do. Hanging upside down and letting all my muscles relax in order to release pressure on the spine for five minutes.

I think I hear a nest of babies outside which is really, really late in the season, but there's no real winter here, so maybe it'll work out. They're very noisy, so might be getting ready to fly. I can't see them. It'll just need to work out, I guess. What do I really know in the grand scheme of the universe?

Sunday funday. I've been told I'll be hanging blinds later. Fabulous.

Blinds hung, no formal exercise, but I sweated a lot and hung by the tips of my toes.
