I've been doing very poorly for a month since losing my kitty, Tracer. She was with me for 20 years! A long time to have a kitty and my heart has been broken and missing her so much that I turned to comfort in food once again despite fasting for 18-20 hours a day. When the window for eating opens, sweets are the first thing I think of and how great I will feel. This morning I skipped the fasting and went straight for pancakes and syrup. I have gained back 5 lbs and honestly feel very sluggish, depressed, and lost. I will try and pick myself back up and get back on the wagon. Thanks for listening. Have a good weekend.

That's what we are here for. To listen and encourage. So sorry about your cat. Emotional eating is understandable but try to stay strong and focus on other things. I'll be praying for you.

It's hard to lose a furbaby! Our german Shepherd/chow passed a couple years ago at age 18! I get it but maybe try to concentrate on small goals to help you get back into a healthier lifestyle. 💜💜

Grief is tough; sorry you’re going through this. Walking sounds like a good plan. Weight gain won’t fill the void, but thinking about your kitty while walking will help you work through the grieving process.

I wonder if you foster a kitty that needs help right now - if that will help you to get back on track? Someone to care for and distract you? Be well...you can do this.
