Katsolo's Journal, 18 September 2020

No walk, no swim, was still 81 last night at 9:30, inside house was still 84 with no breeze, so I broke and turned on AC. Hoping this heat wave ends tonight. I think I'm 24 hours with pretty good improvement since the TENS. Spoke with nutritionist yesterday afternoon, she started her career wanting to be a PT, and so is well versed in stupid people doing stupid things and hurting themselves. Said to keep calories where they are since the scale is going down and to keep focus on protein to heal what I sprained and we'll talk in a week instead of two to see where I'm at. Can work isolated legs, arms and isolated upper back (that was more me than her) as long as it doesn't hurt or strain anything. So that was good to hear. I've been doing squats when I brush my teeth about the last week, I have to do something. I'm really lucky to have her in my life and appreciate that she's still reaching out while offices are still closed. I am feeling better and I slept all night with zero problems and no ibuprofen or aspirin. I just need to remember to be cautious in my movements. So yay! And I mean that. I'm not going to come out of this with a vengeance, it's going to have to be gradual. I'm okay with that. And Liv, I did some reading last night, I'm not really losing my muscle, it will come back as soon as I do. So thank you for that yesterday. It's one of those things I know, but don't realize when standing too close to the mirror if you know what I mean there.

That is good news. I am glad you have someone you trust giving you some advice. Worth gold to have some reassurance! I'm feeling like I'm going downhill this week. So much stress, and the air quality is so bad I've hardly done a thing, and the scale up... I'm sure muscles can't atrophy in a few days, but man I feel rotten... I hope you have a good day. I'm glad you have air! The artificially created cool kind!

Glad you at least got a good nights sleep Kat. The rest will come bit by bit, gradual. No rush. Heal properly is the goal here, correct? Ok. Do it well girl! ❤️

Good news on sleep and hope you heal up soon! 👍With the house 84, why not turn on the heat for a quick sauna to relax those muscle? Just a thought. 🤔

Sitting with just the heating pad tonight. Don't want to use the TENS so much it doesn't work.

So glad you’re feeling better and are sleeping well, Kat! I’ve had great results from that TENS machine when I was going to a PT for my my crazy back and neck pain. Would be awesome to have one at home. I hope for fast healing for you. 💖
