I eat too much rice. Maybe 2-4 servings a day. I'm going to slowly start substituting rice with veggies. I stopped eating rice for a week and became depressed and hungry by the end of the week. I'm too lazy to count calories so I just go by portions or when I feel like I'm satisfied. Before, I ate a lot of beef and pork along with carbs. I went out to eat a little too much and didn't exercise enough.

Looking through my past pictures. I went through phases. I never weighed myself in high school, I avoided the mirror as much as possible unless I'm dancing in front of it. Then the first college years, I weigh around the mid 130s because I biked a lot and ate salad 3x a day. By the end of my 4th year, I weighed 126 and I looked anorexic and my hair was falling out. I was a social butterfly so image was important to me. Then I moved to Tampa and the gym was too busy so I stopped going and didn't participate in any intramural sports or join any organizations. I had many all nighters and drank a lot of starbucks coffee. I think I gained 15 lbs after I graduated. My parents and relatives started to notice and I became depressed and gained more weight. Negative reinforcement doesn't work on me! So now I'm in med school and I conveniently have a gym just around the corner and all my friends here are health conscious. My friends here said I don't need to lose weight so I told them that I'm doing this for my grandma so she'll be happy. But really, like most things I'm doing this for myself. I'll be happier with my weight if I'm btw 135-140.

In Korea and many Asian countries they eat it at breakfast, lunch and dinner, but combine it with meats and veggie dishes. If you measure it out and maybe eat some brown rice too, it's not a bad thing.
