Good luck Rheasky! It's been 6 weeks now for me, and I've lost 8 lbs. for me that's amaizing. i'm a 55 yr old woman, and the last few regimes I've tried were so hard compared to this. It works, at least for me, I hope it does for you too.

Hi Katred12 Thank you for taking the time to say 'HI' really appreciated. Hello... First of all, fantastic results so far.. 8lbs,wow.. well done!! I have never ever found it hard to lose weight except for the last 2 years, nothing is reducing my belly and thighs. My friend told me about this diet and said all her colleges, (air stewardess at BA) were doing this The Fast Diet with great results.. Have you got any tips for me, I know what to do on the fast days, just not 100% with the non fast days. I suppose I eat normal but just reduce the food.. so like what I have been doing for 3 weeks, will fast mondays and thursday..

The cool thing about this is you can eat what you want on your off days and your on days for that matter, as long as it's in the 500 cals. I am more aware of how much and what I'm eating however, and if I'm hungry, so I don't eat more than I need to. But I pretty much eat what I want. So far it works. Today is my fast day, if you would like to have a look at how I've been doing it.

Welcome Rheasky. I'm also doing the 5:2 or sometimes the Alternate Day Diet where you fast everyother day. I've been on Fatsecret since last . I started on Atkins which I like but at times I find it to be alittle restrictive. Which caused me to go on crazy binges eating every carb in site. The 5:2 and Alternate Day way of eating give me so much more flexiblity. I don't have to worry that "Oh no I have a social event, how can I avoid the food or find something that's on my diet." I like that I can plan my life around my diet and not feel like the diet is controlling me. Like you I'm in "medical menopause" after major surgery last year. In my first weeks I didn't lose anything but after a few weeks the weight did start coming off. You can do it. Hope all goes well.

Hello Sherota. Its great to hear you are losing weight and about 3lbs a week.. wow cool, so glad it is working for you, and your profile is an interesting read. ;0) I have decided to have my first fast day tomorrow, i just cant wait for Monday, i only started Thursday I know but this doesn't feel like a weight loss programme as yet. my weight loss is stubborn, and as you are doing the alternate fasting days, i am going to do that too, to kick start myself. Thank you for the advise x

Hope all goes well. I'm going to check your profile along the way to see how you are doing. On weeks when you don't lose any weight keep a log of your measurements. The first weeks when I was not losing weight I saw the difference in inches which was my motivation when the pounds did not seem to be coming off.

Hi rheasky- get yourself some 0 calorie chicken broth- we've been using simple organic but there must be other brands out there- You can drink some anytime to help keep on track.
