Excellent swim yesterday, 905 strokes, average heart rate mid 130's, 9.6 METs which means I probably need to turn up the current or get bigger paddles - except that I swam the last 500 without anything except a snorkel. I really need to find a rich friend with an olympic length pool in their yard so I can time myself every once in awhile. Although my flip turns will probably suck because I don't have to do flip turns in the current. 🤣🤣🤣 Swam in daylight, always a bonus because it means I'm not still working followed by dinner, followed by a medium distance walk. I'm at 95.7 of 124.1 miles. It wants 5.6 miles a day to close. I don't have that much time this weekend with commitments. Argh! I'll just do what I can. Does doing the "running man" on telecons count? I could do that. Although I might end up laughing and giving myself away because I'll look stupid.

For Shifleur: female golden oriole, hummingbird scolding me (I have about five regulars and they come after my hair for their nests, and mr. golden oriole sitting high above his kingdom. there is a nest somewhere, I hear them. I have a ton of birds this year and I haven't done birdseed for ages, just the hummingbird feeder this past week because I noticed babies. I think they all come for the fountain.

Thank you Kat, I love the pictures; the Orioles are glorious!. 💛 I really miss the hummingbirds, they are so fearless. So kind of you to contribute best material. LOL!! I ENVY you for your pool, who knows how long it will be before I can swim at the gym again? I used to live in an apartment complex that had a heated lap pool, but when I retired I decided to find a less expensive place to live. Ah well, life is full of tradeoffs. Swim a lap for me, my friend. And thanks again for the pictures. 🌞

I saved a beautiful little nest a couple years ago made entirely of this pretty golden grass. it was tiny, so sure it was the hummers. they are amazing little birds.

I love hummingbirds. They visit us regularly, maybe because we or the only apartment with a feeder outside. I love watching them!
