FINALLY BROKE MY 226 BARRIER! I've been 226 for two months.

I've re-arranged my food inhalations, but still sticking to my diet --and strangely it seems to have speeded up my metabolism now. Something is different with my body, not really sure what's happening. My blood pressure is good, my cholesterol is good and I feel good.

The history of this "way of life" is: A doctor who visited Africa told my sister about it and she lost 80 lbs doing it -- in less than a year! She looks great, feels great. She was really huge, close to 350 and came down to 270. I was amazed. I just had to try it.

So, I am eating as much fruit as I want with non-yeast rye crackers in the mornings only. Now comes the hard part -- no more starches for the day. I weigh the meat and the vegetables -- they have to weigh the same. For example, with 4 oz of meat, you take 4 oz of vegetables. Of course you get lots of lettuce for that, very little beets or carrots or other heavy veggies. If you want more of the heavy veggies, you have to eat more meat. Only eat one type of meat -- do not mix chicken with pork, for example. You can mix the veggies though. Eat as much as you want, just make sure the weights are the same.

Drink lots of water. Use any condiments you want -- within reason. No mayonaise, butter or gravies. I use mustard, lemon juice, garlic -- the low cal stuff.

I feel energetic and untempted to eat the junk food. Something about this "way of life" makes the diet easy.

221.0 lb Lost so far: 22.0 lb.    Still to go: 55.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
