Back under 200! Weighed 199.8 at my waking weigh in this morning. Yeah! Getting back into the groove of working out first thing in the morning makes a huge difference for me (and my metabolism). I see a lot more results this way, just as I did before. Guess sleeping in is just not in the cards for my healthier lifestyle. :) After working out every day this week though, as I swore I would, I am going to happily take the weekend off from exercise. I may do some fun activities with my daughter, but nothing that feels like "work". I need a short rest.

I had my annual bone density tests yesterday. My spine has improved over the past year, but my one good hip has slipped a bit. The femoral neck particularly scares me, as it is very close to being osteoporotic. The doctor was impressed that I had lost 30 lbs since last years test, and said losing weight and continuing the exercise I've been doing can make all the difference. So, I keep it up and hope that next year the femoral neck shows some building of bone mass. I expected my spine would be better than last year. Once I started working out regularly my back problems faded significantly. In fact, I rarely have more than a dull ache in it now, no real pain. All this weight bearing exercise is starting to pay off.

I have so many important reasons to stay on this path and help myself become as healthy as I can be, and yet I still falter sometimes. That is why these journals can be so beneficial...it's easy to forget your thoughts and original motivations. It's good to be able to go back and read your thoughts at a given time, to help renew your initiative to stay the course.

It's a good feeling! Now I am anxious to get back down to the 185 I was at before I took that detour. lol
