I walked from my house to my job on Saturday, which I feel was a huge accomplishment. !!!Goal Met!!! Just under 9 miles. I'm a little dissapointed though because I thought it was 10. But, I met a girl named Noel yesterday who likes walking too, so I might have a distance walking buddy. This is cool! Another great thing, I put on the jogging suit that this lady gave me. It was a Large from NY&Co. and it fit so comfortably. I've known for a while that I was an XL but I would only buy it if I absolutely had to. Now I don't.
After admitting to my dad that I was afraid to weigh myself, I weighed myself. So happy to see the scale say 189.4 because weeks ago it had jumped up about 4 pounds and that was such a depressing moment given the amount of exercise I was doing. The good thing is that the exercise is obviously working because I'm still doing it and the 4 pounds have disappeared.
I do weigh more than my dad now since he finally hit 189.0 but he inspired me to eat better despite my limited cold storage space. I picked up veggies that required zero refridgeration and tons of fruit over the weekend. I also made a large steak, brown, rice and veggie dish for dinner. Its the leftovers that leave little room for fresh food in my tiny dorm fridge.
I guess I can set more goals now. I don't know what they will be, but I'm sure they'll come to me.
