After a huge meal on Monday which was mostly primal I was so full I could hardly eat the next day. Jumped on the scale and was at 170.2, WOW. Just goes to show that no matter what the food source you can always over eat. This was easily fixed with a light fast yesterday and a small but yummy dinner. Went to UC Berkeley again last night to sit in on Micheal Pollan's class. Such great discussions on food and what it really means. Food is the mind.

The weight you gained is from food still in your digestive tract and water. It is scientifically impossible to gain 2.5 lbs in actual body composition weight over night. I can easily gain 4lbs after a meal. Eat a ton of meat/dense foods and drink about a half gallon of water and you will easily have gained a few lbs just from the material sitting in your stomach. Weigh yourself before a huge....well...You know. And then weigh after. lol Hence the saying, "I feel five lbs lighter after that du*%!"

The temporary weight gains I call food in transit - I also do the same if I over indulge - a few light days and you are back on track :)

You guys are correct. I know the power of a good dump and its effect on your weight. The body is so fascinating and its fun to watch how it reacts and processes different foods. Its still shocking to see the scale at 170 but that's just a mental thing!
