I am up two pounds...I have continued to do what Phase 1 says I should be doing but I am up two pounds. Maybe it is water weight? Maybe I am close to being "broken" or having my monthly visitor??? I just don't understand it but alas my two weeks on Phase 1 is up and I am down 8 pounds total...not 10 but 8. I really need motivation before entering into Phase 2 today becuz I am not seeing the results I thought I would and it's really upseting!
146.0 lb Lost so far: 8.0 lb.    Still to go: 8.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Trust me, your weight will fluctuate tremendously from day to day. There are so many factors involved. Here's a good website that may give you some insight about that. It's called why the scales lie: http://www.primusweb.com/fitnesspartner/library/weight/scale.htm I have never let a couple day increase in my weight bother me because I know I am losing week to week. You might want to consider weighing weekly if weighing more often gets you down when you have a weight gain. You've lost 8 pounds on phase I which is terrific. I lost about 9 lbs my first two weeks, then 3, then 1-2 lbs each week thereafter. I'm about 14-15 weeks in and have lost almost 30 lbs. It adds up quickly if you stick to the plan. Of course, you don't have nearly the amount to lose that I did. Take your time, do it the healthy way....slowly....and you will be amazed. Best wishes!

The book says you should lose between 8-13 pounds and you are right in there! Think about it, how happy would you have been to see a 5 pound drop in a months time before you started this program? You are right on target with the plan. Doing GREAT! I suggest introducing one new carb at a time, choosing lower glycemic foods (I chose grapefruit, then whole wheat tortillas) and see how those carbs effect you. If you lose weight after a week, then you know its a good carb for your body and you can then add another one. I learned which foods effect me badly by doing this. This method SAVED me I tell ya! Let me know if there's anything I can help you with. I really do think you're doing awesome though. That scale will move again. Make sure you're eating your veggies! Go get 'em!

Your loss sounds awesome to me!! ImLuuved is a wise woman! I like her advice about re-introducing one low GI carb at a time into your diet to see how it affects you. I'm one week into Phase One (even though I started it after 3 months on a different diet) and was unsure about how to enter phase 2 - so her comment to you really helped me out!!! Good luck! Keep us posted.
