Goal soon!

Hey Tom, How is it going with you. I seem to be unable to break below 230. Have been in the 230s since December. I think I have put on maybe 10 pounds of muscle since I changed my routine to low reps and heavier weights but I expected to see the 220s by now. Will have to make some adjustments to my eating I guess but not today. My wife made an apple pie and I am going to have a cheat meal.

How about other measures besides the scale weight? Calipers, tape measure, photos, clothes fit, ...? Homemade apple pie? Definitely! I am struggling lately. Work has managed to get even more stressful, and I keep getting “helpful suggestions” from people about handling inheritance affairs, but I have to do all the work they suggest. No question I am losing focus on the goal. Had an abdominal muscle spasm Thursday night. Pain ended that night, just fear and imagination now.

Hey Tom, you are right of course. Clothes fit better and I am definitely trimmer and firmer but I want to see a 220 something on the scale. A bit of an obsession now. It is not easy to stay on plan when stress levels increase. It is too easy to give advice most of the time but I do think the long view is best. A few bumps on the way isn't enough to move some one with your determination off the goal for long.

Thanks for the kind words! Is your May 1st injury okay now, or still an issue?
