WendyMaq's Journal, 19 April 2018

So... this has been a weird week. Started off strong: still only type 1 & 2 stool, but every day! I successfully ate almonds with no apparent issue. Wanted to try to introduce nightshades, but I have been getting really nauseous after meals the past few days. Close to vomiting, but I reeeaaally didn't want to throw up, so I didn't. In my Leaky Gut group, it was suggested it could be one of my supplements. Have any of you experienced that? She said that sometimes, when you're taking a supplement you don't need, it will mimic the thing for which you are taking it. I've had a good news/bad news week with my stomach acid: good news is the ppi seems to be out of my system and I am making acid on my own. Bad news is the same because I still have a hiatal hernia and can feel the acid in the back of my throat. BUT, maybe I don't nee the digestive enzymes anymore and that's causing the nausea? I'm going to skip it for the next few days and see what happens. Last night the diarrhea started. What the heck?? I've only been eating "safe foods" so I'm really not sure what's happening. If all goes well and stays status quo, I'm on track to be below 200 by May 3. I have to keep in mind the weight is a side-effect of the health and wellness journey, but it's always such a relief to see that drop.

My ex-husband got a thing called vitaminosis which is an overdose of vitamins. One website says this about Vitamin A poisoning: "Some signs of vitamin A toxicity are nausea, headache, decreased appetite, enlarged liver, enlarged spleen, hair loss, irregular menses, dizziness and blurred vision."

Wow! That's crazy!! It looks like it was either my digestive enzymes or zinc. I skipped them both today and no nausea.
