It's now been taking me about 10 days to lose a pound. I need to be happy but I can't help but feel a bit discouraged.

I feel ya! The same thing happens to me. I stick to the plan but the loss seems so slow. Fortunately....when I do see the scale drop it gives me enough of a "happy" to keep going. Also....sometimes I go back to the beginning and reintroduce myself to the basics. We'll get there Emily....sometimes the turtle wins!

Kmburgher- I've started Intermittent fasting. I won't eat after 8pm and won't have my first meal till 12pm or 1. If I can hold off that long. lol it's been slowly working. Ive lost 1 more pound. But im not gonna lie, I don't feel fat fadapted yet. I do get hungry pretty early.

My losses have slowed as well..but hey.... better than gaining...No? i also do an IF of 18/6 (1pm to 7pm) since Sept...had to build up to it from a 12/12 to 16/8 then 18/6. I also do a OMAD on Sat and Sun. I love it...in that I feel the control....over my life. I have energy , strength and order. It has given me a little perspective ...I am not so unconscious about eating...grazing all gone!!!!! I do not know if I am fat adapted. I do not get hungry as I did starting out...I guess what I like most about all this is the attention I pay to it...the tweaking...and the basics....and the cooking and conferring....Thank you all ...What a great way to start a weekend...lots to think about.

Judyrose- can you tell me what OMAD is? In still learning so much even if I've been on Keto for 6 months.

One Meal A Day. I had to look it up too when I first started on FS.

Oh wow, I would def need to work up to OMAD. I think it's the food addiction brain. I'm working on trying to not think about food. It's hard when you've been overweight all your life. :(

i find...if i try not to think about anything...it becomes the "elephant in the room" It becomes the only thing I think about. Now , with Keto, I have immersed myself in all thinks Keto. That way my brain has adapted to what I am doing with food in a really positive manner. If its not Keto...I HAVE...to stop and think about it...before i eat it. Not like before Keto...when I unconsciously grazed on foods all day. I agree with Ches- Loss is Loss- but in the mean time...I can think Keto. I can learn as much about it as possible. I have only been on Keto for 5 months...and I too have been overweight on and off all my life. Funny, without knowing it..I did a diet at 19yrs old that was quite close to Keto. As I remember it ...was as easy -weight loss good and I just didn't think too much about food I wasn't allowed... and I did think alot about food I was eating...(no sugar or flour)This OMAD came easy to me as my family has One big meal together on Sat and Sun so...no brainer. Coffee before while preparing...and coffee /water after... for the day. Just added to my Keto adventure. I am finding there are a huge variances in many Keto members diets. The most important aspect for me is the fellowship, comraderie, and support we show in our sharing. I could not do this alone. In this, my weight problem, I never have to be alone again!!!!!

Fritzy22- Me too...I had to look it up as well. I keep looking up "fat adaphage"???? It keeps coming up in the stuff I read and I guess I can't wrap my head around it...so I have to keep researching it...but that's what I mean...so much..in this way. (WOE) ;>)

I looked up WOE too, one of the first things!

Judy, are you thinking of "autophagy?" Tons of good info on the web about it. One of the benefits of fasting.

@bexa raven- Thank you...of course I am thinking of that term . Just doesn't matter how much I read about it...I have an inability to understand it. I couldn't appropriately describe its meaning in the Keto context-- other than to say ...it is the aspect by definition that is present if a person has 1. been in Ketosis . 2. Has not eaten carbs or too much protein and 3, yet Ketonic state is NOT evident in their urine? I know this sounds stupid when I say it...not even certain it is a true statment. Here i will humbly bow out...
