Hi, it does look like we are on the same weight loss path, can I ask which diet you're following. I'm doing low carb and am finding it ok, although its early days.

Hi to be honest I am just trying to cut down to about 1500 calories a day with 20% protein 30%fat and 50%carb but been static now a few days so going to up protein and down fat. Any tips welcome.

If it was me I would cut down on the carbs and up the protein, that's what works for me but we're all different.

Hi thanks! Had a google at low carb plans so starting tomorrow my ratio target is carbs 25% fat 25% and protein 50% worked around 1300 calories per day. It will be tough but I MUST lose my 2.5 stone excess baggage asap. Can't face 2017 (when I turn the big 50) still significantly overweight. Your support is important and very welcome.

It's a while since I read up but I seem to recall that super high protein can cause insulin spikes similar to high carbs so low carb, high fat is better than LC high protein (someone jump in and correct me if I'm wrong). I know keeping at around 50% fat helps me with hunger pangs so I'm better able to keep on target for calories
