Yearofhealth2023's Journal, 10 October 2023

First day back with trainer. Did inbody. Not much muscle loss which surprised me. Trainer was happy tho honestly i felt weak today. We are going to go slow for next 4-6 she said before going back to compound exercises. BMI was 20.00. PBF was 23.5. Weight was 135.4 (with clothes and 16 oz water drunk). Suggestion is to add about 8 pounds of muscle. We’ll see. SMM 56.2. BFM 31.8 pounds. Left arm 102.5% right arm 103.4% left leg 105.8% right leg 105.3% trunk 99.8%. Also pointed out to her that i noticed i was projecting my neck forward in pictures. Trainer said that was due to weak scapula so we will be working on getting that area stronger. Day one down. Rest of life to go😂🥰. Xoxo friends.💕

Whooo hooo! Nice to be getting all the pieces together. Great job on going thru all of that and staying the course with your food and moving when you could. Great job and so proud of you. Each day you will be a little stronger! 💪💪

Wow 😮 that's a lot of muscle 💪. That would take me forever 😭. I struggle so much to gain muscle and I lose it so easy it's so disheartening. My doctor just said it's normal when I asked him about it which didn't really make me feel any better LOL. But I'll keep at it! I'm glad you're doing well with your trainer though, that's awesome!

Look at you! It's great you are able to resume working out. I can't wait till you post your " after" pics! Funny that you mentioned sticking your neck out in pictures. I've been noticing that I'm bending forward at upper waist, making my posture bad. I look like I'm leaning forward. I've been trying hard to stand up straight cuz I look like an old lady!😂☹️

Diana its my neck jutting forward a bit. I thought it was from all the walking and keeping my head down. I was so afraid i was going to fall last year and i just got in the habit of looking at the ground instead of head up and looking in the distance. My mom had a neck that would shake. She wasn’t strong enough to hold her head up and i realized my auntie was heading that way then started looking at my pictures and realized i was also. Freaked me out. Trainer said it is fixable just have to strengthen scapula and back. Which we have both ignored in efforts to get my hip strong and re-habbed. I will post the after pictures when all the swelling goes away. Most of it is gone but there is still a fair amount. I have definitely moved into a hardcore size 2 and often size 0 which i dont really like (too small for my height) and inbody said i need to lose 1.8 pounds of fat and add 8.6 pounds of muscle which will probably help with that. Funny to spend entire life trying to be small and then realizing im too small. Feels weird. I dont want the scale to go up tho so how does that get accomplished. Stinkin brain😂

Leah, you are doing fabulously. Dealing with your medical situation just makes it a bit harder for you. Don’t compare yourself to anyone. You are a rockstar!!!!

OTB i feel like ive been on a 10 week lazy cycle. She wont let me overdo it. Tried to do shoulder press but left arm where stitches had opened up would not cooperate fully so we are taking it as my suture sites will allow😜. You should talk😂. Don’t overdo it!!!! You overdo it so frequently im in awe. Of course you are probably my little daughters age so more freedom in that. (Tho im guessing you will still be doing all that torturous and rewarding stuff when you are my age). Take care my friend.

Storms, thank you so much!!!!!! Frankly I’m a wee bit proud of myself. It was so nice not having to set an alarm to go do a workout that i know may kick my fanny. Of course, immobility and weakness are NOT nice so guess there is a give and take. How are you doing? Staying a safe distance away from all those little kids that get sick so much?😂. God bless my love

Otb-my generation calls that a know-it-all😂😂😂. I should know 😂

Wifey, yep i guess all the walking really works as i did nothing else literally for 10 weeks. Trainer was very shocked. We looked at my last 1 year of in body results and ive literally only lost 3 pounds of muscle from when i was 190 pounds last October. Muscle memory maybe? 💕

You do not look too thin. Do not let anyone make that criticism of your gorgeous body and all that walking you did to shrink those harmful fat cells! Eight pounds of muscle will take over a year to build, so just have fun with it! So good to hear that you’re using a trainer to help 👍💚

JB I myself think i look too thin. When you can see the skeletal bones in my back from my shoulders to my waist it’s too thin. Also made my face too thin. That being said i want to stay under 140 for my mental health so hmmmmm conundrum. Don’t get me wrong i think i look fine, i thought i looked fine before surgery (just not naked wink wink to joe not exotic) and i look better now post op. I can see i am rambling. Does any of what i said make sense 😂😂😂
