Oh no. I try not to worry about weight gain when I’m injured or sick. Just try to eat enough to feel better and help you recover. Hope you get well soon 🫢

Thanks Jon. Im pretty nauseous so dont know if i will be eating anything anytime soon. The weight gain is weird. I would think its water weight but I’ve been in bathroom all night and all am. Weird.

Oh. That sounds pretty rough. Maybe nothing too rich or heavy, but do try and get something in you. I had food poisoning one time and sounds reminiscent. I hope it’s nothing too serious. Just don’t fall asleep while in the bathroom 😅

I know it’s discouraging but it’s normal fluctuation. Could be gas and bloating because you are sick now. Don’t even consider it a valid weight right now. It’s not a typical day.

I go up and down but I know why. Try to know why and then restrain.

Damn, 9 miles??

You may not have lost because of not sleeping! I bet if you got a good stretch of sleep the metabolism would step up some.

I agree that the sleep is a major factor, it seems. I had a significant deficit in Friday, lost several pounds (most in water likely), continued to have a deficit but did not sleep well and gained back over 2 lbs by Monday.

I could be wrong but I think over-exercise could also weaken our immune system, thus we get sick. For me 9-mile daily run/walk is a stretch especially in a scorching hot summer. Do Rest & wish you a speedy recovery !

Cj-im not considering it a valid weight im just making notes in my journal for reference. It’s not due to poor eating. Aragon-thats the thing. Other than a meal out Thursday and an 800 calorie spike that day only (which obviously could not cause a 1.5-2 lb gain) there is no explanation. I have not been sleeping much this past week prob avg 4-5 hours a night. Ayanz-i doubled my walks a couple weeks ago in prep for being down for 45 days post surgery. Musaa and melkaye-yes Ive been wondering if that was a thing lack of sleep holding onto weight somehow. Matt-im for sure not over exercising Ive built up to this over past year. Wish i had the drive some do to do even more to be honest. Thank you all for input. I am in bed so perusing fat secret more than usual.

Muscle can be the reason for weight gain! That’s a lot of walking.

Thank you Erika🥰 me too. Caitlin if only. I have a hard time believing 2 pounds popped up overnight but that would be amazing.

I hope you are feeling better soon! I think maybe stress could be part of this whole thing. Lots going on right now I suspect. Are you stomach sick or upper body sick? I worry about you so please take it easy and 9 miles is insane!!💜💜💜

Diana is 9 miles insane? Ive been doing it for past couple weeks. I do 4-5 miles in am and repeat in pm so not all at once. Im nauseous nad bottom half is like a faucet so gross. I dont even know how i can have that much stuff inside me tbh. Im bummed out right now that i cant try and walk it off i just cant be away from bathroom for very long. Im sure i am dehydrated right now so going to try and swallow 32 oz water but fear it’s going to make things worse. Asthma attack on return home?! YIKES. You okay now?

Oh my gosh 9 miles is a lot! Good for you considering I don't walk anymore at all. What Matt said could be something becasue our trainer told us that our immune system right after we lift weights is vulnerable. He did not say how long but my hubby and I we usually go straight home and do nothing! We workout from 4-5 so we are not really around anyone until the next day again. Get some rest and I bet the fluctuation is from lack of sleep and not feeling well plus the stress.

RPL my leg hero!!! Im thinking probably weight is related to too many nights of bad sleep tho dont understand the dynamics of WHY that would be. I haven’t felt like this since my colonoscopy prep 9 years ago. I figures i was dehydrated so i just drank 32 oz water and its making it WORSE. I hate being sick. Took some tums tho and ate a protein muffin and nausea is a little bit better. Could i be pregnant😂😂😂. JK.
