Seems like it's now starting to get harder to lose weight now I'm getting closer to my goal weight. .2 of a pound is not much but it's still a win ! looks like I'll be 146 lbs for a while that last 16lbs is going to be a chore. I've increased my exercising to now an hour and 45 mins split into 2 exercise sessions drinking way more water then I ever have and eating well. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to fight the weight off???

No advice, just a WHOOOHOOOO! I know our bodies take time to adjust. Perhaps that's what's going on. Although I have heard the final numbers are slow to come off, which really sucks. Personally, I'd keep doing as you are. It's worked so far.

Yep, I've been dealing with this same thing for awhile now. It's a downer for sure. I've been trying to figure out a strategy myself for weeks and still mostly clueless, lol. But hang in there, it takes longer but it does come off. The best thing I think I've had success with that helps is to stay to plan most days, and every few days change it up and go higher cal/carb/fat whatever. The body hangs onto the fat once it adjusts to the restricted diet. You've got this. Keep up the good work you've done fantastic!

Thank you Windy Day yes it's frustrating to be honest. But hopefully changing a few things around might help going to try that. Met with my weight doc the other day and he says I've done well and contuine to do well but I don't want to be stuck lol. So I'll figure it out lol

Hey Erin. Are you recalculating your calories per day each time you lose about 5 lbs? It will give you a general idea. No matter what diet you are on, 3500 calories lost per week is gonna equal about 1 lb. But with that being said, it does matter what you eat. Carbs vs Proteins vs Fats vs Caffeine and other easy sources of energy such as sugars (easy carbs). The mind set I had to get over was, all fats are not bad. Actually Fat itself is not bad. But even as kids.. we have been trained to think.. FAT = LBs, it doesn't really work that way. Do you fast? are you eating enough? If you dont eat enough.. no matter what you eat, your body will go into self preservation mode and not burn, it will wear away at muscles, not fat. So you target goal should be just to eat about 500 caloreis less a day, but you dont want those calories to come from proteins, you may want to limit carbs. Just a thought! If you wish to know more, let me know! J

Oh i can see your breakdown. Ok. So try reversing those numbers. Make Carbs the lowest, Fat the highest and maintain the protein. Yes i know, it sounds SO weird. But i have dropped 55 lbs in 3 months using that formula.

The more you have to lose the easier it can be. You have lost a lot of weight and at some point it usually gets hard. For me it usually meant that changes would have to be made and that my body had become used to what I was doing and no longer responded to it. I have to change things up. Try things like Carb Cycling, Calorie Cycling, cut back on carbs, decrease my calorie intake, up my protein, eat more fiber, do intermittent fasting, change my exercise routine.

DeterminedCdn I am doing all that now except the fasting part. I can't fast I end up over eating when I have tried in the passed. I literally on docs orders am only allowed 1400-1600 calories a day and I do try to stay away from sugar and carbs for the most part. Fat I know can be good and bad depending on what it is. It just seems like I'm stuck now for some reason.

MorticiaAddams you are right and that's what I've had to do for the last 3 weeks but don't seem like it is helping now

If you eat more protein when you are hungry.. its hard to over eat. Do you drink carbonated water?
03 Jul 23 by member: DeterminedCdn
No just regular bottled water
03 Jul 23 by member: •°•♡Erin♡•°•
should I be drinking carbonated water?
03 Jul 23 by member: •°•♡Erin♡•°•
it fills you up ... just not tonic water or anything with sugar.. straight carbonate water.. you can have flavours.. but drinking before eating .. it will keep you full longer. Oh and if you are feeling hungry .. brush your teeth. Its weird but it works. When you brush you teeth you are telling your brain ok..i am ready for sleep.. shut it down lol it helps.

DeterminedCdn the brushing the teeth part I already do at night because yes the brain slows down. OK I'm going to try the carbonated water. Thank you for all your advice ☺😀
