Should see a drop here in 1-2 days. It should be past due. Unsure about this scale. I'm trusting the calories instead. Not buying another at the moment. It's digital, yet it has to be reset all the time. Weight swings as much as 5 pounds over a few minutes. Nope. Not gorging and purging.
189.6 lb Lost so far: 7.8 lb.    Still to go: 7.6 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

What I discovered with my digital scale is you have to make sure it is on a COMPLETELY FLAT surface so all four feet of the scale are making contact with the floor at once. Mine was in the bathroom where we have 6" tile, so each foot was on a different tile. It had a hard time settling on a weight, and weighing 4 times in a row would often yield four different weights. I moved it to the dining room, where we have 16" tiles and fixed the scale! Now, I step on the scale and get a weight...no bouncing from number to number. Give this a try before you buy a new scale or ditch the one you have.

Good idea. I'm thinking a 1.5 ft square 1" thick plywood.

That should do the trick, even 3/4" would be fine, I would think. I was surprised at the difference it made. I might try the plywood and move the scale back out of the dining room too, lol. We have carpet most everyplace else upstairs, so my options are limited.

I was just in the shower and noticed my quads. I added squats and deadlifts last summer to my lifting routine. For the first time, I noticed how much wider the quad looked near the knee. There's also definition showing up near the knee. I don't measure. I just use photos. (I should measure too.) It has been a while since I checked with my calipers. Calipers said 18% today, which indicates I have indeed lost a couple of pounds of fat. No, I didn't gain that much muscle since I was 19%. It just confirms that my loss on the scale is, indeed, late in showing.

I wish I could still do a routine like that, but with a titanium knee, squats and deadlifts are a no-no. In fact, I'm supposed to be restricted to lifting no more than 50 pounds. I have to admit, I've probably broken that rule a few times since 2002, but I try to make sure I don't twist or go more than 90 degrees with any added weight. While I live the mobility and freedom from pain I have now, knee replacement was WAY painful. I know some are lucky and have little or no pain, but that was not me. So I try to behave, really I do.

Had a total knee replacement 3 years ago and unable to do squats. NM suggested a wall squat using a stability ball. Give it a look. Not bad.

Does your scale have batteries?

Thanks, ClassicRocker. I'll give that a look!

CR, I just watched a youtube video called Stability Ball: Wall Squat. Nice! NM, my scale is freaky and I get off and on three times. The second and third time is always the same, but it is 3.4 or 3.6 pounds less than the first time I weigh. Since the second and third time are the same, I am sure that is correct. It must be wonky bathroom tiles like Russ V mentioned.

Battery was replaced 3 weeks ago. I think I've told this story before. We went out to play cribbage at a friends house and when I was in their washroom I noticed they had a bathroom scale. I stepped on it. Then I noticed a button. It said 'Lower'. I pushed it. It didnt' move. It was the brand name. :( For future reference, I will simply refer to this story as 'Story #7'.

I got on my scale this morning and it said I was 71 years old and 6 ft 15 in tall! Only off by a couple decades and more than a foot. Those goofy kids! :)

LOL at izzypup's goofy kids.
