karen40.poole's Journal, 02 December 2022

Well, like a bad case of acne…I am baaack! 10 weeks out from knee replacement surgery and I am feeling fabulous. I am happy with the little bit of weight I have gained since my goal was to simply maintain while recovering. I ate more processed frozen foods than I would have liked simply because I did not always have the energy to slice and dice. I can now cook from scratch again and return to my mostly vegetarian ways. Time to start tracking my food intake again. With a little focus, I should reach the famous “Onderland” around the end of January. I am up to 3-4 miles of walking per day with a goal of 6-7 miles by spring. Have started resistance exercises in addition to my rehab exercises. Will be done with rehab right before Christmas and then it will be all me to continue increasing the flex on my knee (105 degrees now). So glad to be back with this wonderful, quirky community. 🫶🫶🫶

Some days, self care is fixing a healthy, balanced meal. Other days, it's just getting enough calories in your system. So glad you're recovering!
