You can change your diet if it's getting to be too difficult for you. You might have changed over the time and now you could try something new. You could eat in moderation everything you want. You only have to count calories so you don't overindulge.

I know it's true for most, but as someone with diabetes in the family, lchf is a far better fit for enduring health. You are right though. A slow change back to where I was would likely be far better. I've gotten lax about having what's around rather than what I need. Again. I believe it's all in the mindset.

NM I totally agree about the mindset issue. When I spend time really planning and my mind goes to the things I can't/shouldn't have, those are the things I want most. Regardless of which food plan you decide on, perhaps set your mind on the things you will eat and how much you enjoy them. It seems like every time I go into some kind of deprivation mindset, I'm done for. As long as I'm Susie Sunshine about what I can and will have, I do much better. Hopefully that might work for you as well.

MindSet is everything...like right now I am self-indulgent as I prepare for another round of rigid control! I do not like when I feel self-indulgent...it defeats the purpose of it all.

Why,Why,Why? If we knew the answer to that there would be no overweight people! I have done the same thing in the past hundreds of times.

You can pretend you are celebrating Labor Day with us. We always feel it is OK to eat junk on holidays - LOL. BTW - where did the cherries go? I was so enjoying them.

NM, when I went to Atkins/Nutritional Ketosis, I had already given up refined sugar and all desserts for 11 months, and nearly all "obvious" carbs. If you wean off of them gradually, you might have an easier time of it. It was far easier for me to not to have to "give up" so many things at once.

PS - just noticed you had ice cream and salmon for breakfast. You must have a strong stomach - or are you pregnant?

Cast iron, Buffy. I've never been worried about what when... mostly. It should be changing soon. The ice cream was not on the salmon. MM. You know I tend to just go when it's time, but as I said before, I may go to zone first. DieHard. I keep learning things over and over again as well. I guess I can take comfort in that I'm paying attention.
