Char Gets Thin's Journal, 08 February 2014

I'm just changing the type of diet I'm following so a bit disappointed that I have to change everything, including my starting date and weight. But if that's what I have to do, that's what I have to do. I haven't been follow the WW point system at all this year, counting calories instead...I've found that with points, I have no idea how my daily nutrients are balancing out, am I getting enough calcium? Is my fat balances with my carbs/protein? All I knew was how many points I was eating, with on firm idea of what those points indicated. I've gone over to the Calorie Count diet because that allows me to see exactly what I'm putting into my body, in real time, so I can make smart decisions.
179.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 24.0 lb.    Diet followed N/A.

Actually on WW, part of the plan is following the Healthy Guidelines (lean protein, lean dairy, fruits and veggies). You are supposed to get those in daily. They help fill all your nutritional needs On the online tracker, you track them all daily and mark them off as you get them in for the day. So you can actually see how much dairy, fruits, protein, water, etc. you are taking in daily. Of course, everyone doesn't always do that. But I try every day. I also count calories to see how much I am taking in every day. But it's not for everyone. Whatever works for you, right! Good luck!

Change is good, don't let it frustrate you. This process is entirely based on changes and figuring out what works. Once you figure that out, well then you're set for life and most importantly, maintenance mode. I know you'll do great! Have a great day Char!

I think that the more in control you feel, the better any eating programme works. Good luck, Char.
