Today I started a new Diet. I'm 37 and this means that I've spent half my life fighting against overweight. When I was 19 and weighted 75 Kg I wanted to loose the 5 Kg I thought were causing my stomach not to be flat (I would kill today to have that figure). Then I used to play basketball and Tennis regularly. Then around 1995 I started working while in college and that meant leaving the homey meals and entering the fast paced eating rituals of the modern office world. Away from mommys vegetables and fish mandatory meals I started gaining weight at an alarming rate. By 1998, when I got married, I reached my first (of many) record weight: 83Kg. After coming back from the honeymoon my family made the first comment on how they didn't recognized me in the distance being that fat. After that, thanks to my (ex)wifes help I moved a thin(fat) line between 83 and 88 Kg over several years. During this period I did several diets with relative easy and success. Generally based on eating only healthy food and doing some extra exercise (by that time I had changed basket and tennis for paddel -a reduced court version of tennis) With the divorce came the way down (or up). By 2005 I reached 95 Kg and this got worse with each passing year. By this time I had loose all my force of will to diet... But lately I've been feeling worse and worse. I'm in my thirties and I can't exercise anymore. Simply walking or doing housekeeping tasks get me all sweaty and tired. When I start this diet I weight 116 Kg. I have no fitting clothes and can't even play Kinect for more that a few minutes... This is enought! I've made my ONLY 2011 resolution to loose A LOT of weight. I have no other job to do this year. THIS IS MY FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT. My diet consists on reducing the amount of calories I eat from the actual 3000+ to around 1700 until I loose all my weight (probably adjusting it according to my reducing basal consumption). I'm only avoiding all junk food, candies (and all other sugar-full foods), and other heavy calories foods. I know how to cook so I'll adapt my receipts to low calories ones as I go. If I find how, I'll probably share them here... Wish my luck (although I don't need it)... Jur.
