Tachatna's Journal, 16 March 2018

It's been a week since I made an entry and longer since I've been on the scales. I have to admit that it hasn't been a huge priority this week, but I have kept to my eating plan.

We traveled to Anchorage on Tuesday for the PET scan I had to get to find out what is going on with the nodule in my lung that has increased in size during the last 6 months. It was a long and tiring trip, but got it done. That has had to be my priority lately.

The results came back on Wednesday night showing what I already knew in my gut. The nodule is malignant as well as two lymph nodes nearest it. I am being referred to an oncologist (hopefully next week). The interpretation of the results show this as a primary lesion. That is the good news (if there is any in this situation). It is obviously aggressive since it has doubled in size in six months. The sooner I get the oncology appointment, the better I'll feel about the prospects.

It is what it is and we'll deal with whatever has to be done as it comes along. God is gracious. If it had not been for the chest pains last week that sent me to the ER where the CT showed the growth, I would not have had my follow-up scan for another three months. I am so grateful for His intervention in getting the headstart!

There hasn't been any time to catch up on all of you dear friends progress or struggles until now. I apologize for that and pray you are all doing well.

God Bless.

Sending hugs and prayers. My Mother in law went through the same thing. She had tumors on her right lung and a year later she's cancer free without chemo. You'll be fine. Still sending hugs and prayers to you 😇💗

I am so sorry, but now some good news. Cancer does respond to diet. You are in the right spot. Remember to eat smart and exercise.

I feel for you. I had horrid headaches for a few years; nothing could be found, so nothing done. Two years ago, I had a wicked headache, my blood pressure was very high. I went to the ER, on advice. The protocol is a stroke and heart attack work up. My MRI found a tumor in my frontal lobe. We watched it for 6 months, it grew and out it came! Am I completely ok? No. But one thing I found out is that if there is limited time, I’m gonna pack it full with as much fun, excitement and live I can handle. Your right, Hod is good to you ( me too). Get on it, stay with it and face each day with enthusiasm and joy for life. It might be patchy ahead, stay positive and live! Love, S.

I lost 2 lobes of my right lung a little over 6 months ago to cancer. It's scary, I know, but you got this.
