Fritzy 22's Journal, 14 December 2017

Just gaining. It's not unexpected. Since I hit my low of 169.8 it's been a losing battle ever since. And I think I only weighed that for about 5 minutes. It is the holidays and I'm doing better than usual, so hopefully I can just be careful with what I eat. I finally caved on the peanut brittle. I knew I would, there was really no reason for me to buy the 3 boxes as gifts, I already had gifts for my nephew and nieces. But had to go buy another box so there are still 3 gifts. Now I really don't have anything bad to eat in the house, and believe me, I've looked! I've thought about fasting until I can get back to 170 or lower, but that really is too hard for me. I can fast every day after 2pm so I'm going back to that. And I actually don't mind eating the same thing most days so I will try my hot chocolate and 1/4 or 1/2 bagel for breakfast until the end of the year and then figure out some sort of restart. There are certain things I only eat this time of the year, cookies I bake, an apple walnut cake with cream cheese frosting, etc, etc. This year I'm skipping them, well other than the peanut brittle!

Sometimes we are sabotaged by ourselves, in trying to accommodate others around the holidays - rooting for your success!

No worries Fritzy. I haven't eaten yet today and I am ok with it. I've been up since 4:45 AM and only had water @ 8:30 and now some tea. I too can eat the same thing every day. Please don't fret too much. - Coach.

I totally feel you! Getting under 170 is hard for me too. Everytime I break it I find myself getting back to 171. I've finally decided to not worry until January and try of meal at a time to make better decisions. You are totally fine! Goodluck!

You just need to keep making changes to see what will work for you, what you did last month, might not work this month, I know, to many Holiday snacks etc. this season !!!!

The holidays are hard!! I try to resist the temptations too, but when you have it in the house, it's hard to resist. I'm with you on skipping some of my favorite goodies. My kids want to bake some Christmas cookies, so we're going to do their favorites this weekend, then I'll bring a some to work, and I'll try to limit what I eat at home. I'm cutting the batches in half too, so that should help. Good luck!! You'll get through this and go into the New Year doing great.

Yah, Fritzy, we can share. I am stuck at 204 (+/-) for the past 3 months. I know what I gotta do, but I am having a heck of a time getting myself to do it. I figger only 2 weeks to a new year and a new success. You too!

You can do it! It’s all about moderation. I’ve learned not to deny myself of the things I’m really craving, but just to do better than I would have before. There’s always chocolate in front of me at work, usually I’m pretty good but every now and again I will have a piece. If I don’t, I will go nuts and eventually go overboard! In your case, the holiday goodies such as peanut brittle. Sounds like you have a plan tho, hope all works out and good luck! I could never fast, I love food way too much! Hehe

Thank you everyone for all of your support! It really means so much to me. I have been a yo-yo dieter for most of my adult life. Last year I lost 25 pounds and then had gained it all back within 6 months. I started my latest attempt to reach a healthy weight July 27. If it wasn't for all the support I get here I'm sure I would be back to my July weight by now. My weight loss plan has been evolving and I've been doing intermittent fasting for 3 or 4 months now. Usually my eating window time is between 6am-2pm. Today I left for an appointment after eating breakfast and didn't get home until after 2. So I am done eating for the day. I may have a hot cup of tea a little later if I start to feel like I need something. Again, your support is so appreciated.
