Draglist's Journal, 11 July 2017

Woke at 216.6, up .4 from yesterday despite a fasting day (only calories were supplements and a low cal drink). Still have crazy water retention. There is a battle royale going on in my body between the cancer meds and the water pills and the cancer meds are winning thus far! I just took my last one for a few weeks (off them while on vacation) so I expect to start dropping water. Thursday we embark on a cross country vacation with lots of opportunities to eat carbs. I'm pretty strict these days, so let's see if I can avoid the massive weight gains of past vacations. Targeting 1954 calories today. UPDATE: Was going to go out to lunch but did not and so I came home having eaten only 450 calories today. Beautiful day downtown so I walked a lot between meetings and came home with four miles in the bank, too. Got a 214.2 weigh in. Still carrying water but no more chemo pills for a while so that should go away. Ate a huge dinner and ended the day under calorie goal at 1682. Under 20 net carbs, too!

7/11/17 Tanita Numbers (after all day fast, after 4.1 miles):

You may find a difference once the cancer meds are not being boosted all the time.

I'm right there with you, it seems when I go on vacation, my body wants me to eat ALL kinds of foods like it wants a vacation to, going to to NY in a few weeks for a Food Festival Vacation, maybe I will be doing more walking and hopefully keep at least some of it off !!

Before my vacation I, I got to a nice number on the scale and I didn't log in on FS because I knew the swing up post vacation would be huge. I had fun and the scale is already going in the right direction again. Have fun Bill and do your best.
