I wish I could eat processed meat! I miss corned beef! And Bincen, I don't understand your question?

The percentages automatically come up when you set up what columns you want and fill it in for the day.

It's in the crockpot right now. I skipped the potatoes but I did add carrots and onion. :-)

there is grassfed corn beef you can buy from wellness meats.

Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market where I buy groceries has started carrying "Grass Fed" ! I'll have to check into it, it may not be "grass fed, grass finished" but hey at least it's a step in the right direction!

Panigale, grass feeding isn't the problem I have sensitivities to all "preservatives" used in food. Messes with my nervous system badly. And the way corned beef is created by the butcher to be, well, corned beef, uses some pretty hefty chemicals to soften the meat up and make it tender like "corn." LOL The actual cut of the cow used for it is very tough and chewy and full of fat and gristle!

Looks delicious !!

Cooking it low and slow will make even the most tough piece of meat quite tasty and tender. I have a cast iron dutch oven that works wonders for this. I much prefer it to a slow cooker.

Thank you RoseTampa! It looks like the only thing I'll have to change is the sea salt! It's a crap shoot on what's in it so it's NEVER healthier for me! But the recipe looks great! Now to find a brisket that hasn't been touched!
