Went to Dr appointment this morning. He looked at my weight from last time and said "That's 33 lbs!" Good job!
A1C is now 5.5.
Not sure where it was before, but I remember him saying it was in the Diabetes range back in July. He was going to write a prescription for diabetes meds. I need to find my old data.
HDL is good 58, overall Cholesterol is still a bit high at 227. Any ideas how to get that down some more? I refuse to take the Statins he wants me to take.
Still BP is slightly high, but I'm on half of what I was taking. Maybe I'm just too impatient.

If you're doing LCHF you should read up on Cholesterol. There are different types - large fluffy cells and smaller ones which are usually measured together. My doc said I shouldn't worry about it, because the type had improved. Try the website "Livin' la Vida Low Carb".

Agree on no statins. Exercise regularly and no saturated fats (keep it clean with lots of olive oil, nuts, fish, and fresh veggies). Helps to pop 3 fish oil pills/day, too. I cleaned my system up in about 9 months (under 200) without any drugs by laying off the butter and switching to olive oil for everything, plus walking 3-5 miles/day.

I found it odd, but my doctor told me to take fish oil pills. I take 2 a day and my last blood work up it was in line. Not sure if that will work for you, but did the trick for me. I don't like meds, controlling my diabetes with diet and exercise and trying to with cholesterol as well.

Thanks everyone. I bought some sardines also, they have some of the best Omega 3's and other fatty acids. You can eat them more often since they do not have the mercury and other things built up in their bodies. They are small and haven't accumulated years of bad stuff. I'm also going to tune down on the butter and increase the olive oil.
