I do 2, 24 hour fasts per week and for me the easiest time is 11 AM to 11 AM. I eat a solid breakfast with eggs (which keep me full for a long time) and then all I have to do is get through to bed time. I'm never hungry in the morning. Have you tried varying your fast time?

Thanks everyone! @mountainmama I don't like fasting, this is my first time doing an IF but I don't plan to stay over a week or two. I don't think it's good for my body to go into starve mode so this is a test : ) I need to get unstuck...AGAIN!

You go girl! You can do it no matter how long you decide to stick with it. I just watched this video a friend recommended and it's fascinating the health benefits of Intermittent Fasting. If you like watching videos you might enjoy this one it's well done and entertaining as well as interesting: https://vimeo.com/103656060 It's Michael Mosley’s ‘Eat, Fast and Live Longer’ Complete Documentary {58:50}

Nobody LIKES fasting. We do it because it works. And has MULTIPLE health benefits. Like longer lifespan. Decreased hunger and increased physical regeneration as well. I got fat because I did what I liked. And now I do what I DONT LIKE to get to LIVE again. This isn't about doing what we like. Its about living for our kids and families. Be patient FA. It will pay off.

This is day 2 for me with IF...I am actually enjoying it. My feed times are 12pm-8pm which is perfect for me since I have an intense workout and work schedule. Keep at it though...just think, in the end we will be looking and feeling GREAT!

I wish there was more research on fasting effects of women. Most of the testing is done on males. But not much information on females and how it effects our bodys good or bad. But the only information I can find is mostly from women who experiment with fasting. I did IF for a while... I can't say it did anything to my weight loss. I did feel awesome doing it. But no weight loss for me. Sure my food choices could of been a problem..but switching to IF alone didnt change my weightloss progress. I wish it worked for me. But now I just eat when I am hungry and avoid eating 2 hours before bed

MEtabolism is metabolism. The only real difference between male/female in regards to metabolism is sex hormones and water retention. Fasting is exactly the same for men and women. Your body is either burning glucose or burning fat. If your insulin is high, its burning glucose. If your insulin is low your burning fat. It really is that simple. The only reason the people who are tired on the 23:1 is because they THOUGHT they were fat adapted and were not. They finally hit that glucose burnout point and were not yet adapted to burning fat. Well that's when your body switches over to fat. Of course you will feel less energetic. Fat does not metabolize as fast as sugar. Sugar is Rocket fuel compared to Fat's Gasoline. You need to let your body get efficient at burning fat. It WILL improve. But if you go right back to eating more food your not letting your body do this. Your just shoveling more calories into it. I am not trying to offend anyone here. It is really this simple. If you are eating. You are NOT losing weight. I like Chesgreens last post. "Repeat after me: My excuses are what is between where I am and where I want to be. I will replace my excuses with reasons and get it done!"

I totally agree with the metabolism thing. But it just seams tough to find the medium between how much to eat.

From my own personal experience, when I got my blood sugar/insulin under control everything else fell into place. I now trust my body to regulate calories the way it was intended to do.

Well, the whole truth of it really is simple. If you want to lose weight, don't eat or eat a lot less. If you want to maintain weight, eat more. If you want to GAIN weight, eat a lot more. That's how we got our insulin and blood sugar in order too. Want your blood sugar to go down? Don't eat. Want your insulin to go down? don't eat. Want them to go up? Eat more. I used to think there was some crazy scientific theory or science behind it. But there really isn't. Simply stated when you are fed, you are not burning fat. When you are NOT fed, your body burns fat. I discovered this via endless hours of reading and doing. How do you guys think I smashed 94 pounds in 5 months? I discovered that the less I consumed the more I lost. I also discovered the way to combat the hunger of eating less was to consume more fat. Fat keeps you satiated longer, provides a slower and longer burning fuel. That's how I have done it. Do I get hungry sometimes? Yeah, of course I do. Do I listen to it? NO, I don't. I ignore it the same way I do a crying baby on the buss. Its irritating, its still there, but do I give into it and yell "SHUT THAT KID UP!!!"? Nope. I am the master of my body. Not my body the master of me.
