Kids are out the door and on their way to their first day of being in the 8th grade and a Junior. I hope they have a great day because it leads to more great days!

I worry for my son because they told me before school started that he and he BFF are not in the same classes as they do mass class changing and the same group of kids change go from class to class together not the massive change like HS. Last year they both threw a fit day one and got put together which the school sees as a mistake to do again this year. He has been warned already but the friend has not as I do not know the parents or their phone number and the 2x I tried to stop by the home over the weekend no one was there. So, mine is prepared and the I do not know if the school notified the other students parents but the friend does not have the same issues as my son. *crosses fingers and hopes for the best*

Daughter is in the vocational school this year and taking metal trades so this ought to be interesting. She took welding last year and loved it. She is a hands on crafty type kid so hoping this helps her mature her skills and give her focus. The trades are sorely needed in this day and age. I am Proud of her wanting to go into a mostly male predominated field. *Wishing her good luck*

Now onto my day. I will head off for a walk shortly as it is supposed to be near 90 today though it is currently only 57F out. Actually, chilly right now. The house should not get too hot hopefully as I plan on finishing the kitchen today.

So, fewer goals than the past few days partly due to no one demanding my time and we got a lot done yesterday and I need a bit of me time thrown in. I plan on actually cooking a meal tonight and want the kitchn spot on for that. And I made it an easy day JIC my son has a rough first day and I am needed at the school. It happens at least 4-5 times a year where I end up there dealing with things. First day of school has often been one of those days. Almost reluctant to take that walk but I will take my phone and walk in the direction of the school when I go. That way wherever I am I can get there in fairly short order.

Weight loss seems to have stalled these past few days and despite taking my fiber my guts feel bound up and things are not moving normally. I hate IBS sometimes. Ok, be honest Kel.... I hate it all the time. It sucks.

Goals:
- stay on plan
- walk 2-3 miles (done already over 8550 steps 3.25 miles this morning)
- List of games trickling in DH wants added
- finish organizing kitchen
- meal plan/prep
- cook dinner
- me time
- mini challenge for SITS

What are you letting go of? 4 months ago I let go of using food as a crutch. Right now even with stalls and slowed weight loss from the first few months I feel more energetic and have drive and want to do more things. I am trying hard now to let go of the things I cannot change that frustrate and stress me out. Been thinking alot about that over the past few weeks as I have stressed myself out. Realizing that sometimes I am my biggest source of stress.

I've noticed a change within myself as well. I'm way happier now then I was a month ago. The grumpiness is less and the energy is off the chain!! Walking no longer buggs me as i do it 6 times out the week. I think it's wonderful what you are doing in keeping a to do list. It keeps your mind busy and more focused. Keep it up girl!! Proud of you 🌺

First day of school can be hard, even for the teachers, lot's of stress on everyone. Hope they both have great days. I love your last quote because it is so true!

If your weight loss has slowed it's probably because you are missing the exercise from all the intensive hard work you've been doing. You were burning a lot of calories there. But it's not a bad thing to have a break from that, you couldn't have withstood it much longer. It will start moving quicker again when you hit the gym.

He had a great day and so did my daughter! I ended up adding more games for the business and working on the kitchen some did not accomplish as much as I wanted but I will get it done this week. I am not stressing. My mantra I think I need to always keep in mind. "Don't stress the small stuff. Everything is small stuff." Okay, maybe not but most things are not life or death.

Kelly, glad the day back to school went well for your kids, I know you were concerned about your son. So glad you had a good day. Had been wondering as I read your post this am at work and didn't get a chance to catch up. We were busy.
