Annabelle3117's Journal, 25 March 2015

Two days in a row with the journaling, uh oh :)

Good morning buddies! Took the kiddo to school this morning and went straight to the gym afterwards. Forty-five minutes on the elliptical have left me looking like Mr.Crabbs (red), with the appetite of his daughter Pearl. (She's a whale, and this was a spongebob reference) Starving! This was my first time since I recommitted that I have put in a full 45 min on resistance level five. Kicking ass and taking names. I told that recumbent bike that I was coming for him Friday. Biking is my favorite! I cannot wait to get my bike back out once the weather gets decent and hit the trails again.

So I'm about a full month back on the wagon, and I can honestly say it was like riding a bike. Once I got back in the swing of recording intake and exercising regularly I really can't remember what it was like when I wasn't, and most importantly I don't miss it. I'm enjoying the exercise 'high' and feeling light on my feet. Loving the mental sharpness, and the energy to get out and go, rather then spending the day planted on the couch. It's like I've awoken from hibernation, it feels good.

Study group went very well last night. Three girls came (out of 20), they were the three that had asked me to do a study group with them. They were very grateful that I took the time to share my notes and review with them. One of the girls that came told me she verbally invited another girl from class and her reply was "Yeah, I could fail this test and still pass the class so No, not interested". Yup, She's a bitch. Anywho, my friends all know that I could fail the final and still pass the class, that I don't really need a study group, but I did it for their benefit anyway. It's nice to be appreciated, I don't mind helping when I can. Final is tomorrow evening, so I'll be reviewing throughout today and tomorrow here at home.

That'll be it for now. I need to shower and get to the grocery store to grab something for dinner. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Great SpongeBob references! Congrats on being a helpful, caring person. Some people do not appreciate a person trying to give them a helping hand.

Many people talk about what you experienced, the exercise "high", but no time in my life, no matter how hard I've pushed have I felt this. I am jealous and one day hope to experience it!

Biking is my favorite too! I have a stationary bike, and it totally hurts my fanny (haha "fanny"), but I work through the pain ;-)

I understood the SpongeBob reference and I don't have kids to blame it on. X) Brain-numbing cartoons were a stress-reliever in my freshman year of college. Wish I'd had more people like you in my classes; that would have eased some of the stress as well. Lol. Glad you're back in the swing! I'm finding that's how you know you're in it for real; not just when you keep pushing for a long time, but when you fall out of the game for a while and still don't use that as an excuse to quit altogether. That's true strength, I think.

Even the gratitude of a few makes it all worthwhile.

Does anyone not know who Spongbob and his pals are? :) You are doing great! Love the enthusiasm, I need to catch that from you. It's great that you did the study group for the people who really needed it and I'm sure appreciated it. Just because you could fail the test and still pass the class doesn't mean you shouldn't study and try to do well. My hubby is like that and I'm a studier, but my kids unfortunately take after him. Good luck on the final! I'm sure you'll do great, as usual. ;)

Great exercise - did you eat prior to the workout? How was the exam? I bet you "aced" it!
