Today I was supposed to start the Potato Hack diet, recommended by my naturopath. I wasn't able to prepare the potatoes yesterday as I planned. I woke up this morning and did 2 huge batches of potatoes in the instant pot first thing. I let two of them cool, then reheated them while I started reading more on the PotatoHackChronicles website. While doing this, I learned that I was supposed to cool them for 12 hours minimum to increase the resistant starch. Of course, this is after I had eaten two potatoes already, LOL! Oh, well. I decided to stop eating the potatoes and start fresh tomorrow. Instead, I am eating a high carb "fast" for the rest of the day. This is still in line with the premise of the Potato Hack: forcing the body to burn fat for rapid weight loss and a metabolic re-set. Tomorrow I will start again and do the Potato Hack for 3 days. I hope it goes well. I feel this is almost a last resort.
